I am 13 years old, and when I'm trying to talk to one of my friends on AIM or check my E-mail, my older brother comes into my room and reads my personal items over my back. Is there a way I can possibly get rid of the things temporarily so he can't just take the mouse and restore the windows and when he leaves, I can resume what I was doing??? Thanks

Hi comp,You might want to just lock your computer when you leave, if your OS doesn't have that, there may be freeware/cheap programs that can do it for you.The only "hidden desktop" programs I know of have had problems with restoring things, and are almost always bundled with spyware.

If you have windows XP, you can press windows key and L at the same time. This will lock your screen but keep your programs running. You may want to set up a password - to do this go to the control pannel and then to user accounts. Select your account, and click "create a password".
