Hi there, long time reader, first time poster here at pcworld.First of all I would like to say that I really don't agree with this particullar artical at all.You may say that I'm biased due that I'm getting a palm pre in a week, but let me also say I'm also a HUGE apple fan with a iMac, a Macbook, two personal iPods, and a iPhone. I really don't see how any of the five points work out at all.
5-What's your point.Sure, Palm has had it's share of ups and downs in the past, what company hasn't?
4-If you can tell me one phone currently on the market that tackles multi-tasking any where like the "card" system the pre uses then I will gladly be proven wrong.
3-Actually I think palm will continue with the whole "app" thing due to the fact that apple made theirs such a hit.Sure they only have 12 apps today, but it was released like 14 days ago!Call me crazy, bu I have faith with the palm pre applicaions.
2-For the iPhone I must say I have gotten used to the keyboard and really have grown to loving it.With that being said, I still prefer a physical keyboard.Just an opinion ,but I think most people will agree with me here.
1-Hmmm,you may be right here, but I think the'll do apsolutly fine with the demand. And for your whole 6 month theory all have to say is that's pretty obvisios. The only phone that's been able to keep up it's fame for that long is really the iPhone.
Well there you have it. And may I add I am happily willing to argue my point with anyone who would like to.
P.S.-About the whole iTunes deal, syncing is still working today, (6/20/09), but apple has lead suspisions of releasing a new version of iTunes that is incapable of sycing with the pre have surfaced, so if an update for iTunes comes out, and you would like to continue sycing with iTunes I wouldn't update.
