Hello, I am really upset and panicking as I was working untill late on a picture in Paint. I forget to save it, left my computer on all night and i assume my PC (which is a laptop) went into hibernation. when i turned it on this morning it started up as if from hibernation but it was opening programs as if it had been rebooted? My file then of coarse was not there. PLEASE tell me there is some way to recover it i am desperate. I hate how computers just seem to do things of there own accord. I use xp home and a celetron if that makes any difference. thankyou I hope I can get my picture back.

If you did not save it then delete it, I believe you don't have any choice but to start over.If you saved a previous copy, your best bet is PCInspector FileRecovery.

There is no way to recover that file because you didn't save it. You have to start with fresh and don't blame computers, be honest you know it was your fault.

I'm sure the OP has long forgotten about this by now as the thread is 6 years old.
