Empire Total war

I bought this game the day that it came out, and I have not been able to play it 1 time since I got it. I have 2G RAM, an AMD 64 3200 processor, I'm guessing that the 1.99 Ghz is for the processor? If so then that's probably my problem, but I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with this.



Here's the minimum system requirements:
* CPU: 2.6Ghz single core processor
* RAM: 1GB RAM (2GB for Vista)
* Graphics: a DirectX 9.0c card with 256mb RAM

If you only have 1.9 Ghz processing power and you need 2.66 that would make a huge difference in the speed the game is running at.

Here you provided really helpful information. Generally children play online games. The minimum system required by you is really important so i also want to get in my home for my cousin's children.

Well, first of all you're CPU, the AMD 64 3200, is only 1.9 Ghz, and that will not be enough to run the game. So you will have to upgrade your proccesor, most likely. However, you didn't mention your Graphics Card, which is VERY IMPORTANT. The game requires a directx 9 card with at least 256mb RAM. Because you didn't mention your GPU, i don't know if your GPU is good enough to play the game. :mellow:

I had to upgrade my desktop to 3.0 ghz cpu, nvidia 9800gt graphics card, new fan/powerblock for this game. I've always been fan of Total War series that is why I made this upgrade. After the upgrade, the game (and computer!) has been running beautifully.
