I did something really bad, I download limewire and got a virus (no surprise). I have since seen the consequences of my actions and delete limewire and all the songs I downloaded. but now one of the directories for limewire a folder called complete won't let me delete it. And this happens to be the folder that is ifected and has caused problems in other areas. When I try to delete it I get the following error: "Cannot not delete complete: it is being used by another person or progam. Close any progams that might be using the file and try again."I need to find out what progam its talking about and how to close it. i'm assuming its something thats running that I can't see like a spyware. Some help would be much apreciated.

{size:18px}[/size] :D Hi climberatyf : Have heard Limewire puts a rootkit on people's computer and do NOT know if uninstalling the program removes the rootkit ( unlikely) ; the best place to get help concerning rootkit(s) is : http://www.castlecop...evelations.html .

Plus, if he had a rootkit, a virus would be the least of his problems at this point.I suggest using an online scanner such as Kaspersky, Trendmicro, or Panda ActiveScan to scan and delete any detected viruses/malware, as if it's a classic virus, deleting the executable the virus was will not mean squat when it comes to how secure the rest of your files are, as it has probably infected and modified files on your computer (that is, if you're a typical Windows user (not meant to offend, just stating how it is) you're on an Admin account and the virus has unlimited access to every centimeter of your drive).
