Well if the iTunes you have works now...simply don't upgrade it. This is wht they did to Zune too. Yet you don't see MSFT preventing Apple products from working in Windows. Apple is so amazing.

Sounds anti-competitive and monopolistic to me. ANY music player should be able to work with ANY music service. If I am paying for the music, I want to be able to play it ANY device.

How is this anti-competitive and monopolistic?? Apple spent YEARS and probably MILLIONS of dollars to develop their itunes software so they CAN and WILL choose what players work with THEIR SOFTWARE. If Palm pitched in with a few hundred thousand to develop itunes then that would be a different story now wouldn't it? The last time I checked, software engineers still require salaries to work.
