On any number of occasions I have used the 'run' option to type in commands like regedit. What I would like to know is - is there a list somewhere that lists the various commands which can be typed into 'run' to accomplish those things which can help to make Windows run better and to do some housekeeping?

There could never be a complete, comprehensive list, because every you can launch any program you have installed from Run. You can also open any folder from it. But the page drmsucks pointed you to looks pretty comprehensive.
