Anyone know how to get the Tweak UI utility? I tried following the instructions in PC World mag and I download the file from the find.pcworld site. When I unzip it I get 4 files one of which tells me I need to open this from Control Panel and to click the icon there but there's no icon for it in Control Panel. I can't even find that I have WinZip on my computer. I'm running Win XP w/SP2. I guess WinZip is part of XP and must be purchased separately?

Go to Windows Help, type in Tweak UI. You will find a link to Windows Download and then download from Windows Download site.

To download TweakUI from PCW, go here.Sorry about the link from the magazine.... we are having a problem with some of the find.pcworld.com numbers not redirecting correctly. We're working on the issue (and making progress) but it's not totally fixed yet.BTW I found that by entering the name of the program into the search box (on the top, under the PC WORLD logo) and then looking to the right on the results page, under Downloads. :)Hope that helps!

However, if you have another type of compressed file, like a .rar file, you should get an all-purpose uncompression utility, like 7-Zip, which is free and uncompresses almost any type of compressed file.Second, as for TweakUI, it is a utility put out by Microsoft, but with no support. For TweakUI, for XP, go to:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspxFor other versions of Windows, go to:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspxwhere you will find TweakUI 1.33.The second page has some instructions for installation, which apply to both versions. Good Luck, RoseParks

There are two versions of TweakUi. One is an earlier version with four files that installs to the Control Panel and is not meant to be used on XP. The later one is specifically for XP and will place a shortcut on your startup program menu. On Windows website type in 'PowerToys for Windows XP' in the search line.
