Have to disagree with the point made about the 'amateur' target group of this camera. In fact, its CCD is the same as the semi-pro Olympus 620 and the price is actually incredibly reasonable when you consider that it's effectively a semi-pro Olympus 620/E30 specced camera minus the SLR mirror and optical viewfinder, housed within an all-metal rangefinder type body.
On the downside, the review makes a virtue of a key failing; the 230, 000 dot LCD spec is, actually, about half what you might expect.
So, in summary, it's a great-value semi-pro spec camera with a slightly under-cooked LCD screen. Th mirror (not in this camera) opposite of the PC World Review!

In fact, the major drawback of the E-P1 is its lack of speed. Start up takes around 1.7 seconds, while shutdown takes 0.9 seconds. Its shutter lag is better than that of a digital compact but slower than that of a DSLR. If you use Art Filters to shoot, the processing after a shoot takes around eight seconds.
