Hey barriesmom !!
Welcome to PCWorld Community !
You should have visited before patience has left the building LOL !
Here you will be able to download the SP2 for XP.
Windows XP SP2
You might want to look at the OVERVIEW just below the download link.
Hope this is what you were looking for.
Now, if this is what you were looking for , I suggest you make sure
that your PC is prepared to accept SP2 . Otherwise , your Patience
might take another hit. Post back if you need help.

:D Hi :
Several PRECAUTIONS should be done PRIOR to upGRADING ( from SP1 to SP2, for
example ) an Operating System and in your Situation it would be best to follow the Advice
of Expert Dave Taylor and what he wrote at his website at
www.askdavetaylor.com/how[ucan[/u]isafelyupgradetowindowsxpservicepack2.html] ;
however, nowadays when it comes to using antiSPYWARE software ( his #3 ), should use the FREE Ver of "SUPERAntiSpyware" from
[http://www.superantispyware.com/] AND the "Free" Version of "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
from [http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php] .
