How to import Vista Mail contacts and mailboxes(sent, saved,etc) into Windows Live Mail

Vista Home Premium x86 SP2: Since Windows 7 will have no email program when it is released, how do I do the above with Windows Live Mail? Is there a program or procedure that MS might supply to handle transferring/importing of this information? Folks now using Live mail who once used the supplied Vista mail program, how/what did you do to get this information into the Live mail program without having to manually enter all of the information? Sure could use some help here.
