I'm running Mac OS X and love it. Is it possible to run Linux and Mac OS X simultaniously? I know that it is possible to run Mac & Windows simultaniously, but not sure about Linux. I don't think I'm going to switch to Linux or anything, but I just HAVE to know. Thanks!

Depends on the Linux distribution, some don't support PowerPC, but they all (to my knowledge) support x86 (Intel).

It should work fine, though I suggest getting a Live CD instead of re-partitioning, unless you're comfortable with doing that.
