Better not be eating anything whilst watching porn/puke ...! A tad too graphic for my tastes, but I'm sure there are plenty others who don't mind-- including the brains at MS who approved it.

I don't so much blame this on "microsoft" but the marketing people coming out of school these days who think this is the way to go.
Yeah, it had to get some approval from someone. That person's an idiot too. But who actually sat there and thought this up, what kind of school did they goto where they graduated and went on to make ads like this?
It's a sign of our times and our schools and what this generation, or some of it, thinks "works". For every great ad by Apple or others, there's 1,000 terrible ones like this.

Um... Microsoft's marketing department should consider firing a few people.

What a shame, really. And boo to Dean Cain for agreeing to be a part of this very obnoxious video. Guess he couldn't get any other work.
I've been a very strong supporter of Microsoft and all the work they have done, but after seeing this latest piece of garbage, I'm going to re-think my stance.

The Porn and Puke idea is simply a reflection of a segment of society who have been successfully brainwashed into believing that viewing naked humans and/or sexual activity is puke inducing and evil, but if done with your spouse in a dark bedroom it becomes tasteful and good! NOT!!

Don't blame Microsoft for telling it like it is. Blame the sex obsessed but sexually ignorant and dysfunctional prudes in society.

I'm not trying to pass judgement or anything, but I simply saw this ad as funny. Period. Rude but funny. Like a lot of humor. Nothing special. Based on reality but hyperbolic. I don't know why others seem to be incapable of regarding it with a sense of humor. I'm not a special demographic, either. I'm middle-aged professional. Just saying.

Your comment says a whole lot about why our society is going downhill in a hurry...

Gosh. I'm much more offended over the whoring paraded before us on shows like "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette." Look at the disgusting personalities the public gloms onto in the form of "The Apprentice." Or the dregs of humanity who are awarded with their own "reality shows" like Flav A Flav, Tia Tequila, Bret Michaels and the like. No, I do not watch these shows, but have seen just enough of them to know what they are about. And these Microsoft ads are very tame, though we could have done with a bit less vomit and still gotten the point across. Nowhere as offensive as the Carl's Jr. ad feature one Paris Hilton after porn DVD debut or all of their ads featuring young men eating like pigs with food spilling from their mouths.

More disgusting to me is the way CNN is treating the dead pedophile Michael Jackson like a god

"Um... Microsoft's marketing department should consider firing a few people".
No kidding... what a bunch of dummies... those Microsoft dorks... they can't think of one clever idea. Not one. That boneheaded way of approaching marketing permeates the entire msft culture.

Sure it's kind of gross, but give me a break! Everyone's acting like this is a snuff video, or something. Lighten up a little, folks...

@artzy65.

I agree that the vomiting video was way too much to stomach. But what does the Covering of Michael Jackson has to do with this article.

Apparently you don't believe in the Justice System in our Country - The United States of America. Michael Jackson was aquitted (NOT GUILTY OF ALL THE CHARGES).

While I even had some doubts, the decision of the Jury Panel put all those issues to rest for me.

He was and will always be a person who brought many benefits to many people including adults and his other charyties.

If you wish to see only what appears to be negative aspects of MJ in your mind fine.

The man is dead and left a legacy of cultural changes.

Regardsless, I will kindly ask you to stay on the story.

I don't see what the comment on M Jackson (pedofile or not) has to do here...he's gone: R.I.P.

The no-commercial is THE best commercial.

From what I've been reading about this ad, I'm glad I still use a dial-up Internet connection and can't watch YouTube. (A dial-up connection and streaming audio and/or video just don't mix. All that buffering drives you up the proverbial wall.)

Anywhoo, whoever it was at MS who OK'd this piece of trash should have been handed a pink slip. Also, any supposed "adult" who finds this ad "funny" has the I.Q. of the average adolescent male.

Wonder why they felt the need to do the vomit thing anyway? Couldn't they have just had the wife's eyes bug out of her head ala Jim Carrey in "The Mask"? I think THAT would have been a lot funnier (and certainly a lot more tasteful).

CEC1951, I know where you're coming from, but those fast-food chain ads you mention (I call 'em soft-core porn), are targeted at a specific demographic, namely, males in their mid-teens to late 20s, and, unfortunately, I guess they works, and as long as they do work, they'll keep using them.

BTW, JcHc3in1, I totally agree with your reply to mulciber's post.

(P.S. How the heck did this turn into a discussion about Michael Jackson, anyway??? Sorry to all you MJ fans out there, but that guy just creeped me out. I just personally can't stomach anyone who puts so much emphasis on their crotch.)
