PC World Forums: Music Match 8 download - PC World Forums

I had to redo WIN XP and downloaded SP2 and SP3.


one of the programs I bought long time ago was Music Match 8.1 with a lifetime renewal and updates and upgraded. I have the CD and KEY.


when I try to bring it back it will no longer download and work. checking the web I find it for sale through version 10.


dont want to rebuy it. I guess Yahoo bought it and then did something with it. they wont help.


anything you feel can help on this?

Your best bet is to email the Music Match company, explain your situation to them, maybe they might give you a new CD key so you can get version 10.

When I bought a license for MusicMatch Plus with my Dell computer YEARS ago and had to reinstall it when my hard drive died and had to be replaced and discovered that Dell sent me the "basic" version on the install disks and never sent me the key to upgrade it to the "plus" version, both Dell and MusicMatch (now part of Yahoo) told be to go jump in a lake even though I had paid Dell for it. Both kept pointing fingers at each other (including MusicMatch even after I faxed them a copy of my Dell receipt). And as a result, Dell lost a customer for life (and I also dumped MusicMatch too).
