I recently bought a Xbox 360 controller for windows, wired. It lights up fine, although it doesn't detect it as installed. I installed the drivers it came with the disc although it doesn't do anything. The device manager has a yellow flag for it this is what it states:
"This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver."
I've uninstalled, reinstalled, disabled, enabled about 6 times now, I even did a microsoft update and it found a driver or something for it and installed it. Yet it still yellow-flags it. It doesn't come up as a game controller in the control panel.
I'm running windows vista and this controller states it works with windows vista so i don't know what could be wrong. I even called microsoft twice and they couldn't get it to work.
...Also funny thing, i tested it on several games. Burnout paradise for the pc it doesn't detect it as working controller, but on Americas Army 3 it lets me use it to map out the keys to the controller though so i dont know any help would be appreciated thanks
