Hi Maryellen, welcome to the forums!BBC is short for BB Code, which is short for Bulletin Board Code. It is a way of doing common things one would normally do in HTML (make things bold, underlined, italicized, post an image, etc) without the dangers of allowing people to input HTML into the forum. The buttons across the top (B, I, U, etc) perform these actions. If you mouse over the button, you'll see that in the grey bar just above the post box (below the Font size and colour fields), there will be instructions on how to format the tags, as well as a key combination you can press to make the tag apear automatically. For example, if you press alt+b, you will get the tag for bold.Just like HTML tags, BBCode tags must be closed. You would format it like this {b}this is bold{/b} (only you would use [ instead of {). The "Close Tags" button will automatically close any tags that you opened during your post.Hope that makes sense -- let me know if you have any more questions![/b]
