Hey tru !!
Well, the security apps that you tried are for viruses and Not Malware.
I would suggest to start off with , you Download , Install and Up-Date.
(last step very important) the definitions of these two Anti-Malware
applications . They both have free options for the Home User .
MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware .
SUPERAntiSpyware .
Start with MalwareBytes' and do a Quick scan .
Next , do a Quick Scan with SUPERAntiSpyware.
If any of them report infected files or registry keys and ask you to Delete , do so.
In certain cases , they will ask to Re-Boot in order to be able to delete the infections.
Please re-boot when asked.
We would appreciate the Logs of the Quick scans from both security applications.
Copy & Paste the results in your next post.
Once the scans are done, If they have detected any infections , you would now
proceed to do a FULL scan of your PC or notebook with BOTH security programs.
Please be Patient.
When both Full scans are finished , go to their respective Logs Tab and Copy & Paste the
Results in your next post. This would be a second log from both apps.

Hey tru !!
Well, the malware is not gone as the Trojan is still there. Have you run SUPERAntiSpyware
like I asked ? Could we also have the Logs for that scan that you did with MalwareBytes'.
What could not be opened ? Be as specific as possible as I am not in front of your PC.
1) Download and run Dr.WebCureIt . No Install needed.
2) Boot in Safe Mode after running Dr.WebCureIt and run SUPERAntiSpyware again.
I would really need the name of that Trojan to be able to use the appropriate security program.
Those logs would also be a great help.

I remember using Superantispyware before. It's an excellent proram but apparently it's not working on this laptop either. I tried to insall this program three times and it crashed.
Then I finally got it to install but it keeps on crashing when I try to run a scan. Dr Web found nothing.

Hey tru !!
OK, have you tried running in Safe Mode? Re-Boot and before the post or the progress bar for Windows
Hit the F8 key repeatedly until you see a Black screen with white lettering . This will load only the necessary
drivers. They will be loading on the black screen in a file like manner. Once in safe mode , you should see
the Safe Mode on all four corners.
Run those scans if it's possible. you could also run DrWebCureIt in Safe Mode.
Do you have the name of that Trojan ?? Also, can you get the Logs for the last scan with MalwareBytes'
I have a good idea you are infected with some kind of Rootkit. I just want to make sure all other
possibility of running those scans will work.

:D Hi :
Since Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware will not "run" on her computer,
then she has a serious malware "infection" . IF you are able to perform the
Recommendations at www.techspot.com/vb/topic118177.html to get those programs
running, then Post their Logs . Otherwise, I recommend you seek the help of a "Malware
Removal Specialist" found on many "Advanced" Malware Removal Forums, such as the
One at [http://aumha.net] , which is staffed by several Volunteer, certified "Microsoft Most
Valuable Professional(s)" ; she may have a "Backdoor" type of trojan, which is very serious .
