Disappearing drives

Since I installed powerISO with its virtual drives, I find my other harddrive missing. The CMOS shows it is there and working but I cannot find it in the explorer. Another strange occurence is my SATA disk keeps appearing and disappearing from the explorer too. I have tried to find it using administrative tools but in vain. Each time I reboot the SATA drive appears but after a while it disappears again. Very frustrating. Can anyone help? Thanks a million.
