WOW111!!!!! That's a beautiful self-portrait, Aurora. Nice touch of spark on the lips, and nice background too.

When you finish it, may I have a copy of it with your autograph?

:x

That is utterly Fantastic. I had not seen this post for some reason and I owe it to Adama for directing me here.

Hi RGreen,

About a month 1/2 ago, I was babysitting my BFF's puppy for a few days. I took her out to the school where she loves to play. She was running around, having a good time. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and I decided to sit down on the grass.

Well, I seriously miscalculated the distance to the ground and instead of sitting down, I dropped down, HARD! I landed on my left side, feet went over my head, my left arm took the full brunt of the fall. That night I was in unbelievable pain, and the next day I could barely walk (my left leg was giving me trouble from the fall as well.)

I couldn't move and couldn't lift my arm. Couldn't lift it even a couple of inches to put deodorant, nor to wash my hair, etc., and I had a hard time getting dressed, etc., etc. My range of motion was nil. It took me that long - 1 1/2 months - of waiting, to see a Doctor at a Clinic in a nearby town.

Monday when the Dr. examined me, she said she wanted me to have some X rays taken. So, she sent me across the street from the Clinic, to the Hospital where they took the X rays. And, now I'm waiting for the results.

I'm pretty sure I didn't fracture my collarbone. It I had, I wouldn't be able to lift nor move my arm, since it's feeling a little better I can do that now.

This afternoon, my friend and I went to the Matinee. I saw Four Christmases, with Vince Vohn and Reese Witherspoon.

I don't really care for Vince Vohn, but this time he was alright, and I actually liked the movie; it was funny. I'm glad we went to see it.

Hi Aurora, thanks.

You took Tae Kwan Do? That's awesome. I was very lucky when I was taking Karate for 1 1/2 years that I didn't get injured. I used to love it and was really good at it. A few of us were getting ready for our black belt exam.

So a week before my exam, my friend Marcia and I I went skiing in Late Tahoe. I had never been to this new ski resort. We were standing there, getting ready for the chair when it came up really fast, it knocked me down, dragging me and my skis a short distance.

The rescue guys there took me down the mountain on their sled, and a medic saw me which concluded that I had badly twisted my ankle. He suggested I go to my Dr. and get it checked. I wish I had followed his advise. I didn't go to my Dr. because I thought I'd be ok, so I went back to work on Monday.

Consequently, I missed my black belt exam because I couldn't stand on my left foot, couldn't do my jumps, round house, nothing. That ankle still gives me trouble, specially in winter time.

< big sigh > Oh well... :(

Oops, I forgot to get to this part.

Yes, Aurora. When you feel your portrait is ready, if you sign it, I'd love to have a copy. You can PM me with it, if you want. :x

Awe Adama I went Skiiing this one time and my friends were like go down the black diamond, well I was what middle school? I think lol no one told me to go around the mogles (is that what they are called) instead of you know through them. I did a pretty good job too, till about half way through I lost it and hit one straight down the center....... I was so high into the air I could see the entire skii area (it wasn't too huge) I was like... this is amazing.. its going to hurt when I land.

I landed straight onto another mogle center of my chest bam! lol I was knocked out for a few minuets. It was close to closing, no one got any medics though I could of probably used one then. My friend was trying to get to me though. I took my skiis off and walked down the mountian myself straight to the medic area. They said I bent my breast bone, was real hard to breathe that night but thankfully I was ok in the morning. Thought I was going to have to go to the hospital for a bit there.

Tech - thanks, most any image would look more classic as a black and white image. For the time being I am avoiding filters at all cost (well most to all cost) and the reason I did this sketch in this manner is because I am working on some new coloring techniques.

OUCH!! I took a hit like that, only it wasn't a mogul, but a car hood. Yeah, that is some painful stuff, and you really don't want to cough or sneeze for a while afterwards either.

Awww Aurora... that was a dangerous stunt! I'm glad you survived that one.

Mogles- I HATE MOGLES!! My ex-husband and I started going down this hill, we didn't know what the heck were those bumps on the snow. Anyway, half way down I realized I wasn't going to make it, so I took off my skis and walked down the rest of the hill.

My hubby, he got mad at me for being such a chicken so he sort of skied through it all but very slowly, and he fell down a lot. Thankfully, nothing got broken.

:p

Lol Adama good job! I couldn't I dunno I was going too fast, plus when I started it was actually easy.. just missed it around the middle lol

Coastie- ouch! Yea, I was making noises while I was breathing that night, hurt to breathe thankfully I just had to have a few hour car ride home then go to sleep, so it wasn't a long time. Plus I wasn't sick so I wasn't coughing ... er.. maybe I was.. this was so long ago. I think I may remember coughing a few times and trying to stop because it hurt so much. Much more painful then coughing when your abs have delayed onset muscle soreness from working out (but that is painful too lol).
