I have the book and it was great. I'm undecided about the movie, but will probably get the DVD when it comes out. I generally don't go to theaters as they are such a hassle and if there's anyone noisy around it's hard to enjoy the movies. When I'm watching a DVD at home, the dogs know to be quiet lest they get tossed in the back yard for a few hours.

Today my friend and I went to see Marley & Me, with Jennifer Aniston. It was really, really good. We laughed so much, and we cried too.
Yeah, I heard about that one. Don't know if I want to see it as they gave the ending away. I still have memories of Old Yeller and I have never been able to watch that again.

oh yea there was a lot of work around 500+ workers mostly teens that were gluing this and that on painting this, the floats were huge too so we had to climb up on these platforms to work on some and they didn't allow us to use ipods text or take pics inside but most people didn't really care bout that lol.

Unfortunately, losing a dog is part of life. We should just be thankful for the time we have for them, and the best way to honor a beloved pet that we have lost, is to get another and not dwell on the past. This is tough, but otherwise we just sit and think of the past. The longest I have ever had a dog was for almost 12 years. He has been gone for 13 years, and although I ocassionally think of him at certain moments, my current brood keeps me busy. I can remember all my dogs, and look back on my time with them with affection.

You're absolutely right, RG. One of the things that hit me, hit us (my friend and I) yesterday, while watching Marley & Me, was how much we both missed her dog Shanta, even though it's going to be 2 years on Feb. 09 that she was put to sleep.
If you ever get the chance, rent the DVD. It is a delightful movie, and for what I believe, based on a true story. I think you'll like it.

That sounds like a lot of fun, Lil, and a lot of work too. You're very lucky to have been there. And, I'm glad you had the opportunity to do something like that.
Just think, in the future, when you have kids of your own, you'll be able to tell them how you helped create these beautiful floats for the Rose Parade.

Nothing on New Year, but a bunch of us from work are going to see Cheech & Chong at the Mohegan Sun casino the night after New Year. I'm not really expecting too much though. Tommy Chong is still funny, but Cheech Marin seems to have lost his sense of humor. How 'bout you?
