whats the fastest you guys have driven in a car?

The fastest I have driven in a car was 98 mph. It was a New Years morning, around 6 am. I lived in San Pedro, CA, and I was headed to my mom's house in Huntington Park.

It was a beautiful, quiet morning, there was no traffic on the freeway, just me and my brand new silver VW Beetle. His name was Silver. I had the radio cranked up playing good music, and I was feeling good and happy about my life.

I thought let's see what this baby can do, so Silver reached 98 mph and I thought, I know it can make it to 100, but I chickened out. I maintained the 98 mph for quite a few miles, when out of nowhere here comes a cop with the sirens blasting and the light flashing... I got a humongous ticket for going over the speed limit!!!

I've never forgotten it. Yep, first and last time I ever did that!

Yeah, the only time I went over 100 was that one time. I was traveling Route 55 from Vineland to my home, at the time, in Deptford, NJ. It was about 2AM and there were no cars on the road at all. I was with my girlfriend at the time and figured I would "show-off" a bit. :D

I hit 125 and put the cruise control on and just coasted. LOL :D The only thing I was concerned about was the police. I lucked up that night. I could not even imagine what would have happened if I were stopped.

back when my rav4 was new in 02 We had a fire call and we where all out of town at training i told my fire chief to hope in he said he was all set I made it first out of the parking lot red light going i toped out about 135. I got to the fire station which was a strait shot down the highway 11 miles from where we were. i pull out as people called it my truck and had to wait the chiefs chevy had a governer on it and could not break 95, no one would pass him. good thing was the call ended up being not that bad i think it was a car fire. I got back and the kid on the department that had his dads rx7 at the class gos next time make him ride with you I never made it out of 4th!

hehe You really lucked out there, MPH. Cruise control really helps, doesn't it?

The one thing I don't like about driving at night, is that you don't know who's behind you and you definitely cannot spot a cop car.

It's been a long time since I drove at night, but when I do, I always pretty much follow the speed limit, just to be on the safe side. Or I follow the flow of traffic.

i just got a 20inch widescreen dell monitor. I now dual monitors with my new 20 inch and old 19 inch flatscreen. Widescreen is so much better.

Your monitor is one inch wider than my ViewSonic monitor (also widescreen), but you are cheating because you now have dual screens. I guess you beat me :^0

oh wells look like im sticking with my new monitor and not using 2 monitors. At least the resolution is way bigger now sine its 1680 by 1050 and my old one was 1280 by 1024. Plus this dell monitor has so much better color.

:D So I guess your mom won, huh? What was her justification behind not letting you use both monitors? Your mom would probably die if she saw my setup. :D
