Now all I have to do is figure out how to keep Adobe from upgrading and breaking my Flash Player. I did note that the download timeframe of FP 10 was 11/16/08, which would correspond when I first started noticing problems.

We also ran in that situation. It turned out to be the update
for the Flash Player. The 9 version works fine in FF2 but
the 10 version did not. Adobe added some extra features
to the 10 v and effects our ability to use the image uploader.
It also affected IE8 (which is the one I use). I don't know about IE7.

Hi Flashorn,
I only have version 8, so I don't have that many problems with it and IE7.

Glad it was that simple. We had a thread going on Nov. / 8 that Tech4me started with the same problem.
I had already installed Flash Player 10 and had to find a work around. This is what I came up with.
Here is the thread Flashplayer 10 . I think you mentioned that you
were either in Florida or under the weather at that time. In any case just take a look at it. One thing though,
I would not recommend using the Uninstall Tool for the Flash Player. it corrupted the folder and could not re-install
in the same folder. This is Vista ,I don't know about XP. Flash Player 9 is patched , the version 10 adds some
fancy functionality to the player which is not very useful to all of us. LOL!
Glad it worked out.

OK, Adama, you will have to go back to that thread and pay attention to the last reply
I made to you in which I said that you had Adobe Reader 8.1.2 Which is outdated.
I also outlined the procedure for up-dating that component. It's very simple. I'll give the link
and the post # so you can get that reader up to date.
.
The post # is 20. So, do update the reader But, not the Flash Player. Leave that to update 9.
Ok, sweetie , if you have further questions on how or who or why well, I'll try LOL!

You're absolutely right. I forgot that we had talked about my having an older Adobe Reader. This is what I have:
I'm getting ready to logoff, so I'll have to come back here and get the link and upgrade the Reader.
Thanks, m'dear. I really appreciate it. :x

We have an annual inspection, but no emmissions. I take mine over to AAA from time to time to have it checked though.
