If you want to turn your computer into a media center, then I'd suggest finding an ATI all in wonder card. As for a processor, I would suggest an Intel Core 2 Duo, or an AMD X2 processor, depending on your preferance.

Hi craig, just after building a pc that fills all those requirements(i took cable to mean broadband) Here are the specs;Asus p5ld2 sli deluxe motherboard (with wi-fi/tv option)Pentium D 930 processor2 GB (2x1GB) Kingston CL5 PC-5300 DDR2 RAMPNY Technologies GeForce 7600GT Maxtor DiamondMax10 300GB Hard DriveI ran this with a 8ms 19inch widescreen from acer but the card also has a HDTV out. With Logitech v580 5.1 THX speakers and windows xp (you cant get MCE as an upgrade) it came to about 1600 euro. I am well impressed with it anyways and it does handle tv recording, video editing and the few games i have very well. Hope this helped.
