Interested in setting up a dual monitor workstation at home, where different windows can run in different monitors and you can slide one dispaly to another monitor by grabbing and walking, thus expanding your visual screen so you are not limited to one display. I believe in work settings it is called "Wall of Thunder" or something like that. What adaptors to my monitor connections are needed?

Dual Monitors

I'm a big fan of dual monitors. It's a huge help.As for your adapter question, first take a look at the outputs on your PC. Many newer ones have two DVI connections, which is ideal. If you have an older or bargain PC, you may need to connect one monitor with DVI and the other with VGA (and the one connected with VGA will have a softer picture). If you have only one connector, you'll need to upgrade to a dual-head graphics card to add a second monitor. Of course, you'll also need to make sure that your monitors accept the inputs your PC has to offer.GeekTech columnist Tom Mainelli has written about dual monitors a few times; you might want to check the most recent one at [url]http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,121805/article.html.
