A shame it's WM10, not only will some Windows users not use it but it locks out the small but lucrative Mac market. What a joke!

Maybe they are afraid they can't compete with the (still rumored) Apple iTunes Movie Store?

This is very cool. Video-Over-Internet (VOI) s a young enterprise, and the fact the world's #1 online retailer--one that specializes in media--has jumped into the fray is a significant step forward. It's no big deal that it's WMV only--it's pretty easy to watch one's format on the other's platform--so let's not lose perspective and jump on the platform-bashing bandwagon. Go Amazon! That said, everything on TV is pretty much crap--and free, and easily recordable via TiVo or WinMCE--so I leave you with this question: why would anyone BUY a TV show? Once movies are offered online for purchase (not just for rent), then we'll know the wave of the future has finally reached shore.
