Using Windows XP Home on Toshiba laptop. For the last week or so, Ctrl-alt-delete- is not functioning. All that happens is that I get a small green 'monitor' on the bottom of the screen and in the system tray. Same thing happens if I right click on the running programs at the bottom of the screen and click 'task manager'. Suggestions to get ctrl-alt-delete to work again?THANKS!

The next time you invoke Ctrl-Alt-Delete, right click on the small green monitor icon that appears on the bottom right end of your Start Bar. Select 'Restore' and you should see the Task Manager appear on your screen. If you have another program screen running at that time and cannot see the TM, then it may not be set to Always run on top. Close or minimize any apps you may have up and you should see TM after you have right clicked the green icon and selected 'restore'. Once you see the TM, click on the options menu and checkmark 'Always On Top' and uncheck 'Hide When Minimized'. See if this helps.
