this question is mac and windows based, and im having trouble on the windows side (its vista)

Server/network setup

Mac server (running OS X 10.5.8) handles the open directory, kerberos authentication, and domain control (PDC)

Windows PC running vista business sp2 and is current on updates

i try to join my domain XDOMAIN and i get a prompt for a username and password

(just like XP)

when i enter the proper login, i get this crazy and rather un-helpful error message
see attached
Attached Image

to note, the domain join process on my network works just fine on xp

any thoughts on how to fix joining a domain in vista?
