Just read an interesting article on a company called Yello Storm, releasing a new product allowing users to monitor power consumption via the internet:

During paranoid moments, I constantly wonder whether I am actually paying a fair amount for my energy consumption. This seems like it'll be a big hit in the US if it can be licensed with the bigwig energy companies.

Kyle, the environment matters! A whole nation away in California, some of us (like me) really are hyping on the environment. In fact, most of us are. The one thing we don't need is wasted power. Just as there is Twitter, which allows people to "microblog" or create blogs on channels within the Twitter site without the need for knowledge of HTML, there should be "micorgeneration" of power, or all of us working on power together and selling the excess.
