I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 running Vista Ultimate x32 - SP2 and I cannot get the Canon MX860 to be found when I attempt to install it. The printer simply does not show up in the dialog box. I have checked the firewall settings.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

How are you trying to connect it?
Using the USB connection? Are you disconnecting it from the first computer manually and then connecting it to the second computer with the same USB cable?
Or are you trying to share the printer across a network?
Or something else entirely?

Actually I figured it out the other day. Thank you for your reply, though.
It was a setting on my router that was preventing the printer from being seen.
I now have a Linksys WPSM54G wireless print server that I am trying to connect an HP Deskjet 970cxi printer to. Everything seems to install OK but nothing prints. When I attempt to print, the printer gives an "Error." I do not know where to go to view the error and research it. I am wondering if the printer is even compatible with the print server and/or Vista.
Thanks again.

Sound like you are set on the first problem.

This sounds like a separate issue. If so, then I would suggest creating a new topic for this separate problem so that it can get its own due attention.
