Where did the promise that Google Chrome OS's source code would be released "later this year" go to? If they are going to release the code later this year, when exactly?

I hope you find out, and I really want to know when the Chrome OS Source Code Release Date is.

I am not sure, but I am looking forward to this release as well. It seems like a fantastic OS for netbooks, which I am in the market for.

I really think Windows 7 is good, but not good enough. That's because of Micro$haft's upping the ante on prices. Yes, it's good, but no way is anybody, let alone me, willing to pay $320 for it.

Oh, have you heard about the upgrade snafu in student discounted Windows 7? If Windows 7 were open source, that bug would have been fixed months ago. But nooo! Since Micro$oft had to give Window$ a proprietary license for no reason, you have to be a Micro$haft employee to fix bugs. No thanks, if Micro$oft isn't open source that's their Lo$$.
