Well I used to be an OS X user for 4 years now, and this happened to me last week. My 15 YEARS OLD DATA was completely WIPED OUT. Fortunately, I had my data backed up on M$ SkyDrive. Snow Leopard is full of bugs and I am tired of it.
I've now switched back to my good old Windows PC. Installed Windows 7 and it works like a charm: fast, reliable, no trouble, and NO DATA LOST WITH THE GUEST ACCOUNT.
