Title is self-explanitory.Well, for me:I'm about 5'9", 135 pounds, with blonde hair. I'm a Senior in school, and am probably going to go into a career such as biomedical engineering, or just a plain programmer for (hopefully) a network security company. I consider myself friendly to most, though I do get angry easily, if you know how to p* me off. I'm usually not one to start conversation, and many consider me shy (haha, if they only knew how I am with relatives and friends).Might as well post a pic as well: http://img101.images...2356td8.jpgWhat are you like in person?

AHAHAHAHA it didn't take this forum long to get down to A/S/L, did it? Picture: My picture will be in every edition of the Community Scoop newsletter. I apologize in advance. Name: Kellie ParkerAge: 30 (eek! almost 31! double eek!)Location: San Francisco, CAMartial status: PartneredPersonality Profile: I like to think that I have a personality, yes.Job: um. Online Community Manager for PCWorld.com and Macworld.comPersonal Website(s): I have one, but despite saying that I am actually going to do something with it besides slap up a landing page, I never have. So really, it's too embarassing to share.Myspace/Xanga/Facebook: I have a MySpace which I never use. I have a semi-active LiveJournal which is closed to public view. I don't have Xanga or Facebook.Blog: See above re: LJInstant Messangers: I use Trillian (PC) at work and Adium (Mac) at homeFavorite -Music: My favorite band is Barenaked Ladies. I also dig Indigo Girls, Guster, Matt Nathanson, Scissor Sisters, Fall Out Boy, and lots of other diverse stuff.Tv: LOST (I am a major junkie), I love all flavors of CSI, Amazing Race, Project Runway, Big Brother (I hate you, Mike Boogie). I saw the pilot of Studio 60 last night and was pretty impressed.Movies: I rarely go to the movies. I think the last movie that I saw was The Devil Wears Prada. Nothing earth shattering, but a nice way to get in the air conditioning on a hot day.Books: I rarely get to read something that is not school related. I am a big fan of Richard Bach, and I think the last book I started (but never got to finish) was Tiny Ladies in Shiny Pants by Jill Soloway.Places to visit on the web: PC World and Macworld! (Seriously, I spend a lot of time on those sites and do enjoy them.) I help moderate a forum for some friends of mine with a podcast, so I spend a decent amount of time there. My RSS list includes CNN and other news sites, TV Gasm and other entertainment sites, Digg and other technology sites. What Kind of computer(s) do you have?: Here at work I have a Dell Dimension 8300 desktop with WinXP and 1G of ram. At home I have a Mac G4 PowerBook with OSX Tiger and 1G of ram.

Instead of a picture heres a video because I don't have any "newer" pics as in the last week or so but this video entry is newer.: http://www.youtube.c...r_qZngG1pQName: AuroraAge: 22Location: MinnesotaMartial status: MarriedPersonality Profile: Um, I'm kinda different. Most of them are pretty slow though, or rather uninteresting. I'm really glad that pcworld put a forum up.What Kind of computer(s) do you have?:Well.. the one I'm using right now isn't that great. The only reason its useable is because I upgraded it so much. Although I think theres a cap on how much ram my board can handle, sigh. I have a pentuim 2, more ram then registers LOL, a dvd rw drive, internal speakers, 106 gig hd I transphered as well. About everythings transphered, right now it doesn't have a floppy in because I'm too lazy to stick it back in plus I never use it anyway. My husband has a similar computer, we bought the bases from a local library and upgraded them. His has less ram though, and a smaller harddrive, my dad has the newest computer in the house unfortunatly. I have a blue berry g3 mac that has no ram in it right now, and some other computer that I just haven't messed with. Unfortunatly the 2 most powerful computers are the 2 most dead lol. =( I wish my computer would just come back to life, but I think the mother board is shot. I think I might import the DS Opera browser.. does that count? lol

Goth is the most over-used phrase in the history of... Over-used phrases... People always call me weird and whatnot, but hey, they can go fornicate an under-aged hippopotamus...You and I have similar tastes in music. Disturbed and Korn were the bands that got me back into music.Haha, that is scary, I like all of those shows too. Though I haven't watched Animal Planet for awhile (effing Steve Irwin manages to haunt the channel even after he's dead XD).

I love Steve Irwin that guy was abosutly brilliant. I really enjoy watching the Croc hunter on animal planet all the time latley. Just watching him, it really shows you what danger he put himself in all the time, I rather expected he knew he was going to die because he recorded those things that I wanted to remebered for enthusaism and conversavation. I think its great he dedicated his life to animal conservation especially the non-cuddely ones that need to be taken care of. In one I watched yesteday he said catching crocs is great, but the really fufilling part is releasing a rehabilitated croc back into the wild, thats what its all about. I'm a vegetarian and love animals so, I dunno I wish I saw how amazing the guy truly was before he died. I would of treked over the australia zoo to go meet him.edit: I knew we would get along anyway, you seemed pretty cool from your posts, just never had an area we could talk about it lol.

Heck, I rehabilitated a squirrel even after it took a big chunk out of my finger (still have bite marks). Every time I drive home from school, a squirrel always gets in my way, I have to keep on stopping. And not to sound gay or anything, but am I the only one who finds them cute as heck? I always either wanted to be a naturalist or a veternarian, but since I have a natural knack for programming languages, and find it fun, I'm leaning towards something towards the mechanical side (my brother asked the same question as me: how can I love two things that are polar opposites? Odd...)Hehe, thanks, never thought anyone really noticed me. :) I thought you sounded pretty cool from your posts as well. And yeah, it's hard to get to know other boardies without a forum to talk to each other about life and such.

I probibly would of pmed you eventually. You can be both you know. If you want to investigate vegetarianism further I suggest a book called Food Revolution by John Robins or his older book Diet for a New America. The guy's a (former he forfieted it) air to the baskin robins fortune. He saw how the ice cream industry was making people unhealthy, and after his uncle died of a heart attack he really started to think. He knew it had a connection all his dad would say is his ticker just got tired. So he moved to a small place where he grows his own food and started writing books researching the absolute truth about meat health effects and how animals are treated in the industry. I can't think about eating a dead animal. How they are presented in the markets, generally are pretty packages processed you don't know what they were. If you watch, or know how they are treated for the most part you'd probibly vomit, or at least feel like it. Yeah, KoRn used to be huge here, but only one of the members (my cousin) still lived here... so they kind of died off in popularity. And when my cousin quit and moved, they were that much less exciting.Believe it or not, about 3 months ago the city renamed a major street downtown "KoRn Row"...
