If this is the one you are talking about , you can upgrade to 4 Sticks of ram (2x2Gigs sticks):

You can download and install this ram scanner from Crucial : http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/ .
It will tell what you have and by how much you can upgrade to.

One word of caution about Sony. I have read on Their site that, you would be better off using Their memory
if you are upgrading. This is what they say :

*3 If memory modules of the same capacity are installed to both of thetwo memory module slots, the supported dual channel mode providesbetter performance.
*4 A portion of the system memory over 3 GB may not be available to theoperating system.Sony does not guarantee compatibility with memories ofother brands.
