 Install some more RAM in my Dell Dimension Desktop C 521....
Easy....?Yes? B)
Once I find the right kind...I was told I could do it myself.
I watched a video and yes...Sure I can do this myself.
I thought at least 1 GB ,maybe 2?

One word of note: You need a grounding wristband and antistatic gloves to install the memory. Otherwise, you risk permanently damaging it. I had to use these two items for sure when I was building my PC.

What do you currently have installed?

According to both the Dell website and Crucial.com, you can go upto 4 GB. You will want to do it in matched pairs of DIMMs.

Hi. Ok this is going to get a bit problematic as I don't know what you have in there. As smax stated, you should have matched pairs ( You have, I believe four DIMM slots). That would mean four sticks of 1 Gb each. Now, That thing will support PC2-4200 ( 533 Mhz), PC2 -5300 (667 mhz), and PC2-6400 ( 800 MHz). I know you have 2 Gb of ram in there, but at what speed I don't know. If you have Four 512 Mb sticks for a total of 2 Gb, then I would opt for 4 1 Gb PC2-6400 Sticks as they are the fastest. coastie
