help buildin a gaming PC

im trying to stay around $1500 ... and this is what i have came up with.. please tell me what u think. also, this computer will probably only be used for gaming...DVD-RW Drive:Samsung 18X DVD Burner (+-, DL, the works)Case:Antec Performance P180B (clean, quiet, spacious)Hard Drive:Seagate 7200.10 320GB drive, SATA 3.0GbpsMonitor:Samsung 730B 17" 8ms LCD MonitorVideo Card:HIS ICEQ3 X1900XT Power Supply:Fortron 700W SLI Certified PSUInput Devices:Logitech G5 gaming mouse, generic keyboardRAM:1GB (2x512mb) DDR2-800 RAMMotherboard:Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3CPU:Intel Core2 Duo E6300OS:Windows XP Pro, OEMTotal Price: $1,569.90how do u think that would run?

I think the E6300 would be a bit slow for gaming. If you're going to stay with the Core 2 Duo line, you should probably look at the E6600. And the 1 GB of RAM may be a bit low for intensive gaming (I don't play any games, but I always look for at least 2 GB of RAM).Of course, I'm also more of an AMD Athlon person myself, so I can't really say how much the processor speed on the Core 2 Duo's is going to affect you, but most people, gaming or not, are usually looking into the E6600 first. Though, the E6600 is not exactly earth-shattering either, but given the statistics of the ones lower than it, I'd say you'd be more satisfied with it than the E6300.
