I recently got a new computer and its been asking me to make some system "recovery disks". I had already made a system "repair disk", and am wondering what the differences are between the two.

It used to be when you bought a computer they gave you Windows Cd's or DVD's with your system. Now all vendors create partitians where they put the restore system partitian. They advise you to make the restore disks before you do anything or you can purchase them from the vendor. The restore returns your system to the factory default of when you bought the system. It also creates a driver disk to install the drivers and also contains the crapware programs that came with your system. The difference in repair and restore is the repair doesn't return you to factory defaults it trys to repair you back to the state before the problem.
