I read an article on PCWorld on how to bypass the Welcome Screen in Windows XP and go directly to the desktop. Problem is I now want to go back to the way things were: I want to start my computer and see the Welcome Screen withh the list of users. How do I do that? 8)

You will have to go to the control panel then user accounts. The link below might be of some help. [url]http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/ualogonatwelcomepagew.mspx?mfr=true

I have tried going into the User Accounts part of the Control Panel and and have checked the Use Welcome Screen Box. I have also tried checking the Use Fast User Switching box, but it doesn't "stick". I click Apply, go back in and it's unchecked again. What now? I would assume I should at least get the Welcome Screen, because the Use Welcome Screen Box is checked.Does anyone know of another way to change things back for me?

Hate to answer my own question, but this might help those who view this thread:I went to the microsoft.com expertzone and checked the windowsxp forum there and learned you can RUN control userpasswords2 and check "Users must enter a user name and password..." on the Users tab. :P
