Or you could simply use a Media application that is not in declared war with Windows as is any rotten fruits crap! Come on PCW, give better advise instead of being stuck with a rotten apple that’s is putrefying the rest of the fruit basket!

Hi AttilaSowunmi.
First the error message you get indicates an error occurred during transmission of the package, the simple fix would be to redownload it? But Apple servers suck. I only get ~100Kilobits/sec on sixteen threads? Whereas I can get up to 10MegaBytes/sec from Microsoft, no kidding.
Who needs iTunes? No offense but it is completely FatWare, not to mention malware. But if you must... I mean look at the size of this crap.

72MB? For what?
Oh well...
Here is what I do. I simply install the free Windows XP Mode under Windows 7 x64. Then load the crapware into the virtual box. Works like a charm, not to mention that it protects you from the malware Apple sends. No infection possible that way. You just need to enable integration of the USB ports and dedicate one stream to it.
Now I'll substantiate my beliefs that Apple iTunes is malevolent to Windows:
Search for:
apple itunes malware
Since iTunes installs the infamous bonjour service and loads of other unsolicited crap... That's why it is considered malware by many on the Internet.
The best solution is to keep it off your Windows system. Or at least run it into a virtual box where it can do absolutely no harm. I choose the latter, because I've got no choice.
More substantiation:

{C e n s o r e d} Apple 'Bonjour' service screws up Vista
It's a dreadfully written app anyway - it can't even list itself properly in the Windows Service control panel - look at the {c e n s o r e d} state of its entry: #Id_String2.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762##

You can't even uninstall the bag of shite normally either. Instead users have to rummage around with command prompts. No other program requires this. No other program sneaks itself on like this and Apple and Adobe are a pair of {c e n s o r e d} for conspiring to inflict this malware on users.
I said at the start that this is not an attack on Apple computers or Mac users or an invite to start another Mac vs PC spat. Let's keep it that please pk and cut out the childish digs. I'm talking about this shitty program, and that's all.
I've emailed Apple.
Thanks for the 'support' Apple.

Hi. I'm running Windows Vista 64-bit SP1 on a Dell i7 machine and I've encountered serious problems with Vista after Bonjour (presumably) installed itself along with Photoshop.
First off, I can't say I'm too happy with the way in which this program invisibly installed itself on my machine without permission or without asking. The first I knew about it was when my Internet connection failed and then I found it running.
From further research it seems that this is a common problem with no easy fix, and the only solution available involves users having to acquaint themselves with command prompts.

I am bitterly disappointed with Apple here. The program broke my internet connection and the whole process makes it feels like malware had been installed No other program has installed itself on my machine itself in such an underhand manner and the lack of an integrated and easy way to sort this problem of your own making does Apple no favours.
Oh, and I'm unable to select my machine configuration below because there's no option for Windows, despite me clicking directly through from the 'Bonjour for Windows' feedback link. Edit: well that was a {c e n s o r e d} waste of time. After filling in my name and contact details, I got this message after pressing send:
Thank you for your feedback on Bonjour.
We cannot respond to you personally, but please know that your message has been received and will be reviewed by the Bonjour Team. If we need to follow up with you on your ideas for improving Bonjour, we will contact you directly.
We appreciate your assistance in making Bonjour better.

Just facts. Only facts...
I won't bug you with dozens more articles from reputed magazines confirming this sad state of affairs concerning Apple software under Windows. I think it's deliberate, so your Windows will crawl after installing Apple software onto it. Check out what Mozilla / Firefox says: mozilla ceo says apple is malware
Good luck.

Oh here is what Secunia thinks of iTunes:

And the NVD:

You're basically destabilizing your Windows system when installing Apple iTunes.
