Hello everyone. I am new to the forums here so this is my first post/question.

I have Windows 7 (x64) and I got the x32 version of "Mount and Blade: Warband". The game starts up and runs but the cursor does not move (you can see the cursor image on the screen and navigate around with a "blank" cursor, but very hard). I was wondering if there are any emulators or other things that would enable me to play the game. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but does nothing. My only guess is that its x32 and i have x64. So if you could please help me debug this problem and possibly give some solutions I would appreciate it.

Hi Turbo, welcome to the PC World Community!

I'm not familiar with the game in question, but that doesn't sound like an architecture problem to me. It's more of a graphical bug. Are there any updates of patches for the game that you haven't applied yet? What video card are you running? Hopefully someone more familiar with the game will jump in and provide more help than I can.

Thanks for the welcome Snyper. I am currently using a Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family on my HP laptop. I have installed the same exact file on someone else's computer (running windows xp x32) and it worked fine. My driver is updated to its most recent patch. This game, Mount and Blade: Warband, is a Pt 2 for their first game "Mount and Blade". Hope the info might be able to help a little more.

Hi. I'm thinking thet it could be the onboard chipset. Those things in Laptops, or Desktops for that matter, are not necessarily the best for gaming. I alot of games, such as those from Bethesda, will straight out tell you they will not work with onboard graphics.

I just don't understand how I can run games as power-hungry as Dragon Age: Origins but a game which takes up much less resources cant run. Is there anything I would be able to do even with a chipset?

It could be a Windows 7 "thing". I could not find any "suggested specifications"...i.e. whether they support Windows 7 or not. I kind of doubt this would be it since I believe that game is still fairly new, but it still could be...especially since it worked with Windows XP on a friend's computer.

Can you try it with a 32 bit version of Windows 7?

Have you tried posting your issue to their forums? http://forums.talewo...ab70ccbf47eb4b5

I have figured the problem out. For some reason, when I change the game settings to start the game in a windowed mode an play that rather than full screen it works. I think it's because Kaspersky asks to allow/deny every time. But anyways it had nothing to do with 32bit or 64bit, so I guess that made no sense.

Hi. Glad to hear you found a work around for that. If you are playing Dragon Age: Origins on that lappy, then it is a much better Chipset than I thought. I have that thing on this Desktop and yes it does take some stuff. Posted Image
