It has been a few months since I last visited PC World and yeah its changed. I know everyone was used to the old website but things change people! Just like your favortie store that you go to and you know were everything is, until they change things around on you and make it look better. Same thing going on here, I think it helps people look at new things as they are so used to just looking at the same old same old. So anyway I have not had too much time on the new looking site but I have visited this site about three times in the past week and a half, and I still can not find how to get to the PC Pitstop area of this site. I just moved to a new city and updated the computer (software only) and had a spyware infection . Now I do try to get my computer in PC Pitstop about every six months or once a year to check on things. It has always been helpful to me and everytime I know a friend that buys a new computer I have them go to PC Pitstop. Well I not only want to check my computer since it has been over a year but also I have a friend that just bought a new Dell computer with a AMD daul-core 4200 processor. Never knew that they sold AMD systems for the home user, only thought it was servers. Guess I need to read the pile of PC World magaznies sitting here in my new apartment. LOL! Sorry just have not had time as I am busy and learning the area, but actaully I have been reading the November issue I just got in the mail on Thursday. Also sorry for the long post and kinda off the subject too! Well I never knew we the readers could give our input like this and it feels great! Well I'll browse some more but would be helpfull if someome could tell me what happend to PC Pitstop and if it is gone or what not. If it is still around then someone on the staff should make it easier to find on the new site. Thanks

Hi George and welcome to the forums! These forums were launched with the new PCWorld.com design, which is why you didn't know about them before if you haven't been here since we re-launched. I hope that you will explore the other areas here -- there are lots of really smart people hanging out, and we are more than happy to help you with questions and selections.PC World no longer has a relationship with PC Pitstop, which is why you can't find their tools on our site anymore. You can find their tools at http://www.pcpitstop.com though.Kellie

Thanks Kellie but now I have another question for you. When PC World worked with PC Pitstop I trusted it but now I am not so sure. As this is why, I went there to check my pc and I scanned for viruses and all was clean (which is good), but I scanned for spyware and it says that I have a hijacker and need to pay $30 for it to be removed! I run Zone Alarm Security Suite so that has anti-spyware and I set it to the deep scan mode and it found nothing. So I ran my Spybot Search and Destroy and that found nothing, as my last line option I ran my last anti-spyware program that I have and that is Lavasoft's Ad Aware, and that too did not find anything. So why is PC Pitstop Exterminate the only program that finds anything wrong with my computer? Is there product that much better? Or do they just want my money? Maybe you are unable to answer that but can you at least point my somewhere where I can get my computer scanned again by a trusted site. Thanks
