Ok, recently, ZoneAlarm has been acting up. When I have my computer on for long periods of time, ZoneAlarm will crash, saying that there is a system error and that I need to reboot. I've narrowed it down to the point were it only crashes after awhile when μTorrent is running in the background, when my FTP client is backing up my site/uploading several hundred high-res pictures, and when I leave the computer running unattended with μTorrent being the only program running for several hours.Sometimes I can kill the ZA process using Task Manager...but sometimes it causes Windows Explorer to crash too...so I have to do a hard reboot. I've tried the ZA message boards, but their advice for a clean un-install + fresh install didn't solve anything. Any ideas on what might be causing this to happen?

{size:18px}[/size]:D Hi : Other than using a P2P which increases your chances of getting a dangerous trojan on your computer, would need to know the NAMES of your security programs that MAY be conflicting with ZA !? Was this possibility mentioned on the ZA forums ? IF you do NOT have their "Pro" version, you should consider "switching" to another, like the ones mentioned at www.spychecker.com/software/firewall.html OR www.filehippo.com/software/firewalls/ . Have you run 1 or 2 RELIABLE & GOOD antiSPYWARE/antiTROJAN programs, like the FREE ver of "SUPERantispyware" from www.superantispyware.com and/or AVG antispyware !?

I've MSN Premium as my ISP, so that means that I have McAfee for my virus scanner running at all times, in addition to that, I have SpySweeper running at all times. And as a "2nd opinion" I have AdAware that I use if neither programs find anything. When ZA first started to crash, I figured I might have a trojan or something similar...so I checked for updates for my programs, restarted in safe mode, and did a full "deep" scan using McAfee, then SpySweeper, followed by AdAware. Besides a few "suspicious" cookies...nothing was found. So then I ran RegistryMechanic figuring that maybe something got messed up in my registry which would cause ZA to have a "System Error". After the scan, RM found a lot of "errors" in my registry...mainly 'set to delete' stuff. So I told it to take care of everything. I restarted and hopped online and went about my usual dealings. Sure enough, after 5 hours or so of being online, ZA crashed once again. You told me to switch my firewall...the McAfee Security Center I have offers 'Personal Firewall Plus'...but I don't know how that firewall in particular holds up against other firewalls. Would it be worth it to dump ZA and hand the duties over to McAfee?
