I have AdAware 2008. When I click on "scan", I get a "Non Responsive" message and the computer crashes. I have tried to uninstall it so that I can download a new program, but I get an error message , "could not open INSTALL.LOG file". Any suggestions?

Hey Fredie !!
Have you tried to uninstall via Safe Mode ??
Here is tutorial on how to get your PC to boot in Safe Mode :

Simply choose your OS from the Table of Contents on the left hand side.

Thanks for your response. I tried REVOuninstaller first and it did the job. Is this a great forum or what?

Hey Ferdie !!
I should have Welcomed you to PCWorld Community. Sorry, just an oversight.
I'm glad you found coastie's reply to be the right and helpful one. We do have very capable members who do not hesitate to offer
their help and knowledge to whomever needs it. This is what makes this forum so pleasant. Although we cannot guaranty
successful answers all the time, most of the problems found are usually very solvable.
One word of caution about Revo. If you don't know what it wants to delete or can't recognize a certain key then,
leave it alone and ask in these forums if those keys are safe to remove. After using it for a while, you will be able to know
what is and isn't safe to remove.
