Italian Judge In Google Case Gets Threats On Facebook

It is repugnant that threats have been sent to the judge on this matter, especially since such actions undermine those who find the verdict troubling, although the content is probably noxious.
I believe a more correct response would be to see if Google has been singled out, i.e., to see how common such publication is in Italy and how often it is prosecuted. How many people have been prosecuted under this law in the past in similar circumstances? How many were given, and served, jail terms? Have the people who posted the offending video been prosecuted and jailed?
Perhaps most important, if someone posted something like the Rodney King video, an extreme form of bullying, would this also be viewed as illegal in Italy?
If Google hasn't been singled out, there are still implications for the international web. How will such rulings affect posting outside of Italy where laws are different?
