Now I can't figure a way to get his dose of antibiotic in him.

Have you tried opening his mouth and putting the pill/capsule in the back of his mouth, closing his mouth, and then rubbing his throat to try to get him to swallow? This is how I have generally done pills with most of my dogs.

If that did not work, I would put it in the middle of small portion of a "smushed up" American cheese slice (i.e. a Kraft single).

Buddy is generally pretty easy. For example, he just munches down his heartworm pill like a snack.

Hey smax, Was using peanut butter, than yesterday morning I kind of hollowed out a piece of Hot Dog and put it in there and he scarfed it down. Last night tried the Hot Dog and that was a non starter. Decided to go back to the peanut butter, and he lunged and snapped at me ( actually bit my finger ). The pi;; pouched will be here tomorrow, but that is problematic if he doesn't want to eat anything. I have a Vet that does house calls, but may have to take him to a regular Vet that can treat him "Inpatient" as it were.

Hmm, that's interesting - this is what I have here: http://www.speedtest.../2713073241.png

It was 15/3 (or 15/2?) for a while, but they recently upgraded everyone's connections around here for the same price - mine went up to 25/5. It's $65 full price, but all my dad had to do was ask for a discount to get them to knock it down to $40 for a year. (the day the 2 year deal we had expired Posted Image) Threatening to cancel always seems to work as well.

I envy your download speeds, but I'm surprised the uploads are that slow.

I have about the same speed:

http://www.speedtest.../2717424595.png

I have just the "normal" Internet "package" and don't pay for "extra speed" from Comcast...don't really need it.

And I pay about the same...it is time to call in to see if I can get a lower price.

I do have a bit more leverage now as there is now a second cable company in my town (no fiber from the likes of Verizon or AT&T...only other option is DSL). We will see if the competition helps with pricing or not.

Yeah, then a threat to cancel actually holds water. Comcast doesn't exactly have any decent competition here, even though they're willing to give me a discount if I ask for some reason...

Hmm, it's supposed to pick a nearby server if you let it do that automatically...

Yeah, It does. I prefer picking my own. I have been using Atlanta for a while, but the server I was using is longer hosting, so had to use another. This was to your part of the world: http://www.speedtest.../2718563380.png

Hey coastie !

Am glad to see you are feeling better. I guess trying to do more is just out of habit.
I think in time you will learn to pace yourself. Good that you went to the hospital as
soon as you felt something not right. Keep up good habits and not too much exercise
for now.

Now, I tried another server (since you think we cheated LOL). I went to Montreal
first :

And then tried a little known place called Richmond VA. I think this is somewhere
in the US but, not sure

My downloads and uploads are roughly the same but, the Ping is just awful. It might
be the distance or it might just be the time of day and could also be their equipment.
In any case, I did get a boost in speeds for that other 3 bucks their charging me.

Sorry to hear about your dog coastie. Having animals around the house is allot of fun
but can really pull at your heart strings when they get older. In your case, you really
don't need any more anxiety. Be careful please.

FLASHORN.

Hey Flash, As for the Boy, he isn't old. He just turned 4 on the 1st. Can't get him to eat anything, so can't really get the antibiotics in him either. He is two doses behind. :P I expect I am going to be read the riot act by my Cardiologist when I see him. Oh well, I was feeling good and there were things that needed foing that had piled up when I wasn't feeling good and couldn't do anything. You have some fantastic Download speeds, but your Upload is hurting. The further out you go the higher the ping and usually the lower the speeds. Also depends on the route and amount of traffic.
