I think I would get really freaked out if I was to eat a cake with my face on it. That's like... cannibalism. (Sweet, sweet cannibalism.)

Cake decorators use edible images quite a bit, or at least they do at the Country Marts around my area.

I love this stuff! I was watching a recent episode of Iron Chef America the other day (hey, it's kinda addictive), and I saw a challegner, one Chef Cantu, actually beat the champ. Among other wacky sci-fi cooking methods, Cantu created a Maki Roll made from edible ink printed on edible starch paper (using a modified Canon i560 printer) wrapped around rice with nori powder and vegetables.I've gotta let PC World readers know about this guy I thought to myself. Then I discovered that my colleague Eric Butterfield, has already interviewed Cantu about this very technology in a fascinating column he wrote a couple of years ago.[img:2fae841d81]http://blogs.pcworld...hives/maki.JPG+
