Hi :

The best FREE "parental control" software I know is
"SpywareBlaster", available at
http://www.javacools...areblaster.html

There is a "Tutorial" on this program at
http://www.bleepingc...tutorial49.html

There are Updates about once every 2 weeks ; Sites
listed in its database prevent a computer from
going to those Sites .

It depends on what you're looking for. Some are set to block websites while others simply monitor specific computer use.

Actually, the one built into windows is pretty effective. I used it when my Nephew was younger and spent the day over here and on my computer. He would keep looking over his shoulder to see if I was watching. I told him he had nothing to worry about as long as he went where he was supposed to go. He left that afternoon and I set the parental controls in windows ( Start----Control panel------Internet options-----Content Tab-----Parental Controls ).

Which version of Windows are you using?

Vista and Windows 7 both have some built in parental controls, which might be enough.

With XP, you will have to go to third party options if I recall correctly.

Actually, XP has a pretty effective parental control ( what I used to keep my Nephew honest and out of places he shouldn't be ). I adjusted for every kind of content ( I'm an evil Uncle Posted Image ).

And did you listen some information about Actymac VidShots Remote? I know that it allows to get video from Mac desktop to iPhone. May be it is very useful for remote parental control and employees watching.

The internet is incredible. We cannot avoid it and neither can our children. The internet offers many great websites, parental control software, and services for your child's learning, entertainment, and social connectivity. Unfortunately, the internet also contains things that not only children shouldn't be exposed to, but also things that nobody should be exposed to. Check our site for more details.

Go for Microsoft Security Essentials and Kaspersky Internet Security 2012.
