My wife's HP laptop has just gone through it's second motherboard in just over two years. The problem seems to be heat related, her laptop get much hotter than mine and we have the exact same laptop. We've looked at the HP website and her model/serial number was not involved in the battery recall.

I've called HP but they seem unwilling to assist. Is there any information on heat related problems with laptops not involved in the HP recall that we can use to support our case that the problems are heat related to the battery so we can get this resolved?
