Not too revolutionary. They'd be better off coming out with a few models per year instead of building up all this hoopla over 100 new little features of which only one was a little exciting (only works over Wifi)...

"Also included is an iPhone version of iMovie (...) The app will set you back $4.99 from the App Store"

Can someone explain me how something allegedly "included" needs you to pay for it?

1. "Jobs also announced a new operating system for both iPhones and the iPad: Called iOS4, it will have 100 new features and 1500 application programming interfaces or APIs."

The iPhone OS was renamed to iOS, and incremented to version 4. It's not an entirely new OS.

2. "The new phone will have 32 gigabytes of storage"

Up to 32gb, there is also a 16gb version.

3. "-the text on the iPhone 4G looks sharp and crisp"

It's iPhone 4, not 4G.

4. "The price of the iPhone 3GS drops to $99 for 16GB."
It's the 8GB, the 16gb and iPhone 3G have been discontinued.

5. "preorders will start on June 14."
It's a week from tomorrow, so June 15th.

I swear, it's like proof-reading and getting the facts correct are super complicated. There where numerous live blogs for you to double check your facts on... Some of these where even in the pictures as well.

Also, you contradicted yourself with "Also included is an iPhone version of iMovie, which will let you edit video clips on the phone, splice them together, add titles to your videos, and so forth. (The app will set you back $4.99 from the App Store, Jobs told the packed audience at San Francisco's Moscone Center)."

It can't be included AND cost you $5 in the app store.

I would have to say the iPhone 4 is pretty sweet looking, it's slightly smaller than the new HTC EVO 4G and makes the decision between the two really complicated

Had I known this would be 'it,' I would definitely have not sold my 16GB 3GS. Now I am stuck using an old 2G Iphone, and no desire to upgrade to this Iphone 4. Gosh what a disappointment.

What I wanted the most was storage, but no increased capacities is unacceptable... (what about a 32GB and 64GB versions instead of a mere 16GB?), no removable storage, no front facing camera on 3G... give me a break... not to mention the kill in the unlimited data plans.

It would be like offering a personal tablet computer with 16GB's of storage only, no facing camera for chat and no expandable storage... oh wait.

They did that.

Steve Jobs' inability to make the iPhone 4 work on the Wi-Fi network at MacWorld should come as no surprise. Trade shows are demanding network environments, typified by a high density of client devices concentrated in small areas, and high throughput requirements especially when video is being services. Consumer-class Wi-Fi networking gear- including AirPort Extremes - are not appropriate for these environments. Trade shows demand enterprise-class networks that include features like airtime fairness (prevents slower 802.11b devices from limiting network access by 802.11n devices such as iPhone 4), load-balancing (to ensure that no single access point is overwhelmed), band steering (to force high-speed 802.11n devices to operate in the faster 5GHz band instead of the congested 2.4GHz band), and overlapping access point coverage (so there's no chance of a single point of failure). Streaming video is particularly challenging for Wi-Fi networks, and requires that the network be aware that video traffic is present and then provision quality of service mechanisms to ensure reliable delivery. If you want bulletproof performance, you need enterprise-class gear.

But, but, but, no Flash. I really wanted to grant hackers access to my device. I also don't like battery life in my device. In short I wanted it to be just like my HTC Incredible where I can't do anything with my frontal camera because there is no software, LOL!

hastaluego is drinking Jobs iKoolaid. I can't think of once instance where hackers have taken over a device via flash. Go buy another iPhone for 200 bucks.

Hmmm... this comes across pretty meh considering that both the Evo and the Incredible already offer these features and much more!

ROFL! wow - you have never used an incredible have you?

had you, you would know the truth...

Personally, I have several reasons why I bought a 32GB Zune HD instead of the overhyped iPhone/iPod Touch:

1. I do not want to pay for a data plan for my phone. I am perfectly content with my GoPhone that I pay $25 every 90 days for.

2. Zunes have considerably better sound quality than iPods.

3. Neither the iPhone nor the iPod Touch has an HD radio tuner (or a regular FM tuner - except for the iPod Nano that maxes out at 8GB). This is what I prefer to listen to the most because I often get tired of whatever music is on my Zune.

4. Microsoft has the unlimited Zune Pass, while Apple does not have anything like that for iTunes (although I do not subscribe to it).

5. The Zune software rules, iTunes drools.

6. I do not need all those crazy apps for the iPhone. The main purpose of my Zune is the listen to music, not use it as a mini computer.

7. The iPod does not output HD video like the Zune can.

8. The Zune has a way better OLED screen than the iPhone's LCD screen. I do not care what resolution it is.

9. I do not need a 5MP camera.

10. I'm a PC.

I actually want a little old school. How about an FM antennae so I cn listen to the TV feed at my gym?

On another note, I just want to tether my iPhone to my iPad and not pay anything extra...I already pay for UNLIMITED data, don't I?

Try the Airmovie app to stream your video from your WIndows Home Server to both the iPad and iPhone...it is awesome!!!!

So that basically explains why the 3GS loaded just fine and the iPhone 4 had networking issues?

the new iPhone 4 was shy! You know, new toy and all... the airwaves were so crowded, it just couldn't convince itself to join in those masses and talk to them.
