pc will not boot capaq presario,power light flashes

i have a compaq presario,ive had it a couple of yrs now,,was not in use for several months,i did no mods,when power cord is plugged in,pc power light flashes and pc will not boot,everything inside pc seems to be in order, any help on this matter wuold be greatly appreciated, thanks tim

It is very likely that your power supply is damaged ,motherboard is spoilt or a lose cable. Use trial and error to diagnose the problem.

BIOS ???? Might need a re-flash. No idea how it happened from storage though. Bringing it to any box store they should be able to do it. Either that or buy a new CMOS chip and they'll flash it. Itll cost about 10 bucks for the chip. That's if thats the problem.
