Has lots of potential. Still flat though. It will get ridiculously useful (and powerful) when the individual pearls start cross correlating with esch othrr. On the huffington post example, pierce brosnan is shown in two branches. There should be a connection there. I guess we'll need to wait for html5 and a mega google amount of smarts and servers first. Hmmm: google buyout? I would.

Disappointed it's currently flash though: takes time go load my own links? Of course an amazing accomplishment in flash programming.

A company and tool worth watching.

"Pearltree" = "folder". Same thing. Open the folder and there's related folders inside.

Sounds like a nice way to waste time though.

Like mind maps, it is an interesting user interface which disguises a basic folder setup or outline. I want something that can show true relationships (like an entity relationship diagram) where A links to B and C and then B links to C as well.

I agree with the previous posts. I have been doing the same thing by myself with folders. I guess its usefulness will depend on what else this service does beyond organizing bookmarks, as the author himself suggests.

Call it what it is... an invasion of privacy. I'm not sharing my bookmarks, even if most just are links to basic websites. My browser has a little feature known as 'folders', which can be used very effectively to organize bookmarks. Using multiple web browsers makes synchronizing bookmarks a little bit tougher, but I'd rather stick to doing that than relying on a remote site to store (and know) my bookmarks.

This isn't new. It's been done before.
